Everything You Need to Know About Cashless Hospitalisation
Cashless Hospitalisation is a health facility that has been designed particularly for avoiding any emergency moments during hospitalisation.
How does Cashless Service work?
This cashless health service offers you a hospital cash cover when you get hospitalised with any of the hospitals in this policy’s network. There is no need to settle the bill with the network hospital, as the Third-Party Administrators (TPA) representing the insurance company will settle the bill for you.
In cashless health insurance, you are recommended a hospital by your doctor and you have time to decide which network hospital to go to. Here is what you need to do:
- First of all, fill a pre-authorization form that can be downloaded from an insurance company's website or available at any of the network hospital offering this service. You can know about the list of hospitals by calling on a toll-free number given on the health insurance card.
- Show the health insurance card at the selected network hospital. The person at the help desk will verify it and further fax it to the TPA.
- The TPA is further going to process this form either for approving or rejecting the request, depending on the eligibility.
- If the form is approved, the TPA is going to send the authorisation letter with an approved amount for your treatment. So, you need to follow up TPA to know the status of your request.
